Brittney's cousin Megan and Baby Drake.
Brittney looks pretty good despite being cut in half.
The room was filled with flowers. The one in the short vase has a special significance. It was Ben's when he was born. His mother brought it for the baby.
Meme and Pepe were able to come and see right before they flew to Taiwan for their mission.
Nothing stronger than a fathers love for his son.

Uncle Ed invited us to Thanksgiving in November. It is quite a drive but the company is worth it.
We had lunch with my Uncle Ed. What a fun guy he is. This is his impersonation of a deer.
Trip ....... lots of money, Hotels, Gas, Food etc. A picture of a kid in a candy store.................................Priceless
This sign is a must for any trips involving kids.

Summer Vacation

We headed off for our summer vacation. This is a tunnel near pigeon forge. It is great to get away and see new things. It refreshes your mind.

Having moved from California the green trees are such a beautiful sight. We love to explore the South and we are glad to share with you some of our favorite pictures.

We thought this was such an interesting sight. We have never seen anything like this in the west.
This little store recently closed. It has always been painted this way since we moved here. It always makes John laugh to see the Mexican flag painted store.
A bloomin' cactus. We pass this every week on the way to church. I didn't think that they grew here but I stand corrected.
Here is Zack changing the sign.
This is the road the boys clean for the scout troop were in. We have all been down there to clean the road. Once I found a snake. I was not to happy about that.
This is a party we had at church notice the head stones in the picture. It looks like we are having a party at the cemetery.

We haven't even walked very far yet and it is already postcard perfect.
See the map Austin. This shows how far we are going to hike.
Dragonfly
I love how the trees make an arch. Sometimes this happens on roads here too. The trees connect over the top of the road making it seem like you are in a tunnel.
Austin caught this unfortunate grasshopper. He was nice and released him in the grass.
This blue flower makes for a great photo. Did you notice the bee on it? I didn't notice the bee until I was putting this picture on the computer. I wonder why he looks blue. Click on the picture. You may be able to make the photo bigger. Remember this works for any photo you want to see enlarged.

We found this bridge right next to a stream. We walked under it and noticed cracks in the stones holding it up. Scary. I told the boys there may be a treasure up on the ledge. You should have seen their eyes. It looked like there might be a wooden box of some sort up there. The boys were trying to figure out how they could get up to where it was.
Happy Trails.
Hiking is a great way to bond as brothers. These two get their love of hiking from their Grandpa Ose. They will always remember the times they spend hiking with him.

I always wanted to know what it would have been like to walk in the sacred grove. I think I might know.
We all think you would like it here Grandpa.
I felt rather sorry for this tree it had spots on nearly all of it's leaves. Click on this picture to see the spots.
The root system of this tree in the water makes for an interesting photo. It is even better in real life. The story behind this shot is a bit more interesting. Right after we stopped to take this shot we passed a biker who said there was a rather large snake approximately where we had been standing. We decided not to go back that way because I am not fond of snakes and the snakes here are often deadly.
We have arrived!
Zack was our navigator and he took us along many windy paths through the trees to this mill stone. It is one he had learned about at school and he was pretty excited to find it. It is in the middle of the wilds.
Grandma would love the wildflowers here. They grow along the roadsides. Here in this wild field they are everywhere.
Their are small ponds and lakes all over the south. The boys thought this one was pretty cool. The ripples in the water are from the rock Austin just threw in.
One of the small creatures we met up with on the path.
We are in awe when we look at all the beautiful trees here. What a sight!
Were almost back now as we look back through the trees at the water.
A perfect ending to a perfect hike. We hope you can join us sometime soon Grandpa Ose!
