The White House

Hey!  Who is that guy and why does he get to park there?

Biking around the Washington D.C. mall.

One of the many stunning buildings in Washington D.C.

Arlington Cemetery

Civil War Unknowns

Beneath this stone repose the bones
Of 2,111 unknown soldiers
Gathered after the war
From the fields of Bull Run
And the route to the Rappahanock
Their remains could not be identified,
But their names and deaths are recorded
In the archives of their country,
And its grateful citizens honor them
As of their noble army of martyrs.
May they rest in peace,
September A.D. 1866

An immense spirit of gratitude can be felt amongst the graves of these soldiers.

The Pentagon

Notice the plane just above it.

Washington Memorial

Notice the crack.  After a recent earthquake visitors are not allowed to enter.
I am not fond of heights especially in buildings with cracks.
